Burbrella Microschool's I-Ready Testing Analysis Report

Celebrating Academic Progress at Burbrella Microschool

At Burbrella Microschool, we are dedicated to nurturing our learners academic growth and ensuring they reach their full potential. As we reflect on the 2023-2024 school year, we are excited to share the insights from our I-Ready Testing Analysis Report, which highlights significant progress in both reading and math across our student body.

Reading Performance: Moving Towards Excellence

Beginning of the Year vs. End of the Year

At the start of the academic year, our students' reading abilities varied widely. By the end of the year, however, we observed noteworthy improvements:

  • Increase in Top Performers: At the beginning of the year, 28 out of 60 students (approximately 41%) were performing at or above grade level. By the end of the year, this number rose to 52%, indicating that more students achieved or exceeded grade-level expectations.

  • Reduction in Lower Performers: Initially, 20% of our students were assessed as being two or more grade levels below their peers. By the end of the year, this percentage decreased to 12%, showcasing a reduction in students at significant risk.

  • Overall Student Performance: The data suggests a general shift towards higher achievement levels, reflecting the effectiveness of our tailored instructional strategies and supportive learning environment.

Math Performance: Steady Progress and Positive Trends

Beginning of the Year vs. End of the Year

Our analysis of math performance throughout the year reveals several positive trends:

  • Improvement in Tier 1: The percentage of students performing at Tier 1 (at or above grade level) increased from 33% to 39%, indicating that a higher proportion of our students achieved grade-level proficiency by the end of the year.

  • Reduction in At-Risk Students for Tier 3: The proportion of students at risk for Tier 3 (significantly below grade level) decreased from 43% to 31%. This decline highlights our success in lifting students who were initially struggling to meet grade-level standards.

  • Stability in Tier 2: The percentage of students in Tier 2 (mid-range performance) remained relatively stable, shifting from 24% to 31%. This stability suggests consistent performance among students in this group, with some moving up to higher performance levels.

The data from our I-Ready Testing Analysis Report underscores the hard work and dedication of our learners, microschool guides, and the entire Burbrella Microschool community. Our targeted interventions, personalized learning plans, and commitment to academic excellence have borne fruit, resulting in significant improvements in both reading and math performance.
